How to involve citizens & civil society in the global governance of AI? - AI Dialogues #3

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the third and final day of the “AI Dialogues” was held at Sciences Po Paris. The “AI Dialogues” offer days of high-level exchanges on the international governance of artificial intelligence (AI) for the benefit of civil society, with the aim of drawing up operational recommendations for decision-makers and players involved in the development and management of AI.

The aim of the third day of the AI Dialogues was to explore ways of involving citizens and civil society in the global governance of AI. The day brought together over 15 multidisciplinary experts from academic institutions, governments, technology companies and civil society, from France and abroad. Discussions focused on the following key questions: how can civil society become involved in the different frameworks and moments of AI governance, what challenges does it face and how can they be overcome, and how can bridges be built between the different levels of civil society participation?
