Metaverse Dialogues, Day 2: Actors’ Views

In December 2022, Renaissance Numérique launched the Metaverse Dialogues, a series of three events bringing together French, European and international experts to debate the societal, economic and technological issues surrounding the development of the Metaverse. The second iteration of the Metaverse Dialogues, which was dedicated to the economic issues surrounding the projection of the body and the use of avatars in immersive virtual worlds, took place on Monday 13 March 2023. On this occasion, we interviewed five experts. Check out, in these short videos, their answers to our questions!

What is the Metaverse? Can it, via virtual, augmented or mixed reality devices, create, modify or renew online uses and experiences? What opportunities does it open up in the field of health training and education? Is it a game changer? What is the biggest challenge (technical, societal, ethical…) to the development and adoption of the Metaverse? What will the Metaverse look like in ten years?

We had the pleasure of debating these questions (and many others!) during the second day of the Metaverse Dialogues.
